The simple truth is that orgasm is a much more automatic response for men than it is for women. While the majority of men can climax fairly easily, women just aren’t built the same way.

For most females, learning how to orgasm is a process; one that takes time and experimentation – sadly, not everyone knows this all important fact – even in 2012. That’s why we’ve launched the “Learn to Orgasm blog; we want to provide a free source of all the best information and advice that’s easy for anyone to put into practice.

There are many misconceptions about the female orgasm – many of them due to movies, books, and especially adult films, that usually portray women as horny, ready to go, and almost in a constant state of ecstasy during sex.

Only a generation ago, doctors believed that a high proportion of women couldn’t climax at all! Most doctors simply didn’t have any training in this field and social attitudes towards sex meant that many people didn’t feel comfortable discussing it.

Nowadays, most of the myths have been busted. We now know that virtually any woman can climax – the first step is to forget what you think you know, and the second is understanding that just like anything, it is a skill that can be learnt.
