FEMALE ORGASM – SELF DISCOVERY
2012
As we discussed in our previous blog post, many women are unnecessarily worried about their lack of ability to climax. The fact is that besides a lucky few, most women have to “learn” how to climax.
Many surveys and studies have been conducted in this area, and most of them show that around 50% of women have their first orgasm through masturbation. Only about 30% have their first during sexual intercourse and about 20% have theirs through foreplay.
The same surveys showed that the most common age for the first orgasm was 18, but that it could also be as late as the 40’s. Even in their 20’s and 30’s a lot of women have difficulty reaching that elusive orgasm, let alone being able to achieve them regularly.
The most common theory held by sex therapists today is that if you struggle to climax, it’s a good idea to start practicing on your own. The reason why masturbation is so important in this process is because it will help you discover exactly what works for you. Once you have learned to climax on your own, you can then show your partner exactly what you need in order to come.
